There were all-day protests after Officer Cleveland Michael Brelo was not indicted for firing 49 shots into the car windshield killing Malissa Williams and Timothy Russell following a 60-car police chase ending at Heritage School in East Cleveland. The police fired a total of 137 shots into Malissa and Timothy’s car. The demonstrations went into the evening and culminated in around 75 protesters being kettled at Johnson Ct. in downtown Cleveland. The protesters were arrested and charged with typical trumped-up offenses, most, if not all, of which were later dropped.
